Asda has restructured its buying team for beers, wines and spirits to create a new role of general manager for wine.
Linsey Wright, currently Asda's general manager for chilled ready meals, joins the wine team on May 15. She will head a buying team of four including senior wine buyers Philippa Carr and newly appointed Guy Gordon. The other buyers are Glenn Franklin and Becky Leighton. Oliver Horton will head the beer & spirits team as general manager and Harvey Lees continues as spirits buying manager, with Jill Wilson spirits gifts buyer and Chris Woulds in charge of spirits marketing.
CJ Antal-Smith continues as the beer buying manager, working with Ged Futter, who is responsible for beer and cider, and Christopher Waters, who looks after beer marketing.
