Baxters has launched its first range of tinned plant-based soups.
They are: Jackfruit, Three Bean & Chipotle; Sri Lankan Sweet Potato; and Butternut Squash & Lentil Dhansak. They hit Tesco this week (rsp: £1.55/400ml).
Billed as the product of two years of development, the brand’s development chef Darren Sivewright said they were “plant-based but that isn’t a compromise. Like every other Baxters soup, taste comes first.”
It marked part of an “ongoing commitment to ensure there is a convenient and delicious choice for all customers”, added the brand, including those following a vegan diet or who were looking to include more plant-based foods.
