Canned fish giant John West has extended its single-serve Infusions range with two new products.
The new additions include 3x80g MSC-certified skinless and boneless Pink Salmon and 3x60g tuna Infusions.
Infusions are now available in three variants: Chilli & Garlic, Lemon & Thyme, and Basil. These join the existing 3x60g No Drain Tuna Steak and WeightWatchers Tuna (two flavours) and 3x80g Tuna Chunks.
The single-serve portion products are currently available in Morrisons, Asda, Waitrose, B&M, Home Bargains, Ocado and Amazon.
“Traditionally, cans have always been large in size and can be a commitment for consumers to finish,” said Jon Burton, international marketing director at John West Foods.
“Our extended single-serve portion range is a direct response to evolving consumer trends and the increased demand for optimal, convenient serving sizes that reduce food waste.”
The aim is to deliver enhanced convenience for consumers and drive relevancy for the brand as households reduce size, while reducing food waste. The brand also hopes that the single-serve option for salmon will reignite salmon within the ambient fish category.
