The drink will roll into Sainsbury’s

Nutty Bruce is hoping to take on Oatly with its first oat milk.

The Australian brand, which made its UK debut in February, has unveiled its first oat milk, Oaty Bruce.

The drink is billed as offering a “thick and creamy plant-based alternative” containing filtered water and organic, wholegrain oats.

The brand said it was “hugely versatile and can be enjoyed hot or cold in dozens of different drinks and dishes”.

It has rolled into Sainsbury’s alongside the brand’s Activated Almond M*lk and Almond & Coconut M*lk SKUs (rsp: £2-£2.25/one litre).

The launch mean “more consumers than ever can access our range of high-quality plant-based m*lks that have been created to provide consumers with a shortcut to wellness”, said Dom Dalton, GM at the brand’s owner Soulfresh.

It comes as Soulfresh has spent the past year pushing for bullish growth after securing a £26m cash injection from equity firm True in December 2019, for 43% of the business.
