Dorset-based specialist foods supplier Olives Et Al has created what it claims is the UK’s first range of CBD-infused olive oils.
It has unveiled a range of three oils with differing CBD levels: Activate (10mg per 20ml serve), Elevate (30mg) and Levitate (100mg). They come in at £20, £40 and £120 per 250ml bottle respectively.
The range, created in partnership with Goodbody Botanicals, which supplied the CBD, was “perfect for dipping and drizzling, to enjoy over laid-back lunches and relaxed dinners”, said the brand.
They have rolled into specialist retailers and the brand’s online store.
Goodbody Botanicals managing director George Thomas claimed the combination of antioxidants and olive oil’s ‘anti-inflammatory propterties’ could “maximise the benefits of taking your daily dose of CBD”.
The launch is the latest in a deluge of new brands taking the uber-trendy CBD into new food and drink categories.
Earlier this month, startup Endo Sport claimed a UK first with its eponymous sports drink, for instance, while October saw the debut of Good Hemp’s CBD-infused, plant-based milk - which rolled into Planet Organic.
In booze, meanwhile, startup Top Beverages has set its sights on becoming “a global CBD drinks brand” with the launch of a nine-strong range of posh drinks.
