The trio would ‘amplify some well-known Pringles flavours with an extra kick’

Pringles is making its extra hot crisps debut with the launch of a spicy trio.

It has launched three flavours under a new range called Sizzl’n, each offering varying levels of heat intensity.

They are: Kickin’ Sour Cream (medium), Spicy BBQ (hot) and Cheese & Chilli (extra hot).

It said the trio would “amplify some well-known Pringles flavours with an extra kick of spice that builds with every bite”.

They launched today (6 January) at Tesco, with other retailers to follow this month (rsp: £2.99).

It marks the first time the Kellogg’s-owned brand has entered the extra hot market, it said, and is its first range of spicy crisps.

Pringles UK activation brand lead Rebecca Worthington said: “We know demand for spicy flavours is following, so this is the perfect addition to our portfolio to drive category growth.”

Pringles isn’t the only crisp brand hoping to lure shoppers with spicier flavours: last month saw rival McCoy’s launch a three-strong range of ‘Fire Pit’ crisps incorporating flavours such as peri peri, chorizo and BBQ ribs.
