Red Bull has added a limited-edition Apricot-Strawberry flavour for summer.

The drink is billed as offering “the functional benefits” of core Red Bull but with “a special, quintessentially summer taste”.

It offered “a juicy surge of both apricot and strawberry” with a “sweet, refreshing flavour”, said Red Bull.

It’s the latest in a series of limited-edition summer drinks from the brand, which have included flavours such as Cactus Fruit, Watermelon, Coconut-Berry and Tropical.

Red Bull Apricot-Strawberry has rolled out in 250ml cans (rsp: £1.35).

The news comes as energy drinks are absolutely surging in the mults.

As our Britain’s Biggest Brands report revealed last month, Monster, Red Bull and Coca-Cola pulled in a combined £255.6m in extra sales over the 52 weeks to 1 January 2022 – making them the three biggest growers in the entire report. Red Bull alone added £81m, a19.3% increase, bringing the brand’s value to £500.9m [NielsenIQ].

Red Bull attributed its gains in 2021 to growing demand for multipacks such as its 4x250ml packs and other larger formats, as well as “insight-led range extensions and new shopper recruitment”.
