Alcohol-free craft brewer Drop Bear Beer Co has secured its first nationwide supermarket listing.
Four-packs of its newly launched Peach Cut Lager have landed in 475 Morrisons stores (rsp: £5/4x330ml).
The 0.5%,cold-fermented brew is billed as a “crisp European lager with a smooth stone fruit twist”.
Drop Bear Beer Co was founded in Swansea in 2019 by Joelle and Sarah Drummond. In 2023, the brewer purchased its first bricks-and-mortar brewery from fellow Welsh brewer Tomos Watkin.
The listing was a “breakthrough moment” for Drop Bear Beer Co, according to co-founder and director of sales and marketing Joelle Drummond.
“As a Welsh business, this achievement is especially meaningful,” she said. “Wales boasts incredible talent and outstanding food and drink brands, yet gaining visibility on the national stage can be a challenge. Securing this listing demonstrates not only the strength of our products, but the growing recognition of the innovation coming out of Wales.
“Peach Cut Lager has had an incredible response since launch, and securing a national listing with Morrisons gives us the opportunity to bring our bold alcohol-free beers to even more consumers across the UK.”
Alongside its new Morrisons listing, Drop Bear’s range is also sold on Ocado, in Tesco supermarkets in Wales, and in East of England Co-op stores.
The brewer also exports to multiple international markets, including Finland and Australia.
