Shoppers can use the lockers to collect and return online parcels

Aldi has introduced InPost parcel lockers to 50 more stores, taking the total to over 600, in a rollout that started in 2023.

In means the lockers, which shoppers can use to collect and return online parcels, are now at more than half of Aldi’s UK estate of around 1,080 stores.

Aldi said it reflected its focus on improving convenience for customers.

“Reaching 600 InPost lockers was an important milestone, and this next phase of the rollout further demonstrates our commitment to making shopping at Aldi as convenient as possible,” said Aldi UK MD of national real estate Jonathan Neale.

“We’re committed to understanding our customers’ lives and continuing to focus on saving them time by making everyday tasks easier to manage.”

Other supermarkets with InPost lockers at stores include Lidl, which introduced them in 2000, and Co-op.

InPost network director Paul Selvey said: “This continued rollout with Aldi reflects how quickly locker delivery is becoming a core part of everyday life in the UK.

“Building on the 600-store milestone, these new installations extend our nationwide network and make it easier for people to manage parcels alongside their regular shop, reinforcing the crucial role of lockers as a convenient, mainstream delivery option.”
