Aldi pays the highest entry-level store worker rates in the supermarket sector

Aldi has 1,000 jobs to offer by the end of the year as it accelerates its store opening programme.

The discounter is looking to fill a range of store positions from cleaners to assistants and apprentices, along with opportunities in management.

Aldi currently has around 1,050 UK stores and is expected to have about 1,090 by the end of the year. It aims to eventually grow the estate to 1,500.

Aldi also pays the highest entry-level store worker rates in the supermarket sector, at £12.75 an hour nationally and £14.05 an hour inside the M25, plus paid breaks.

Locations where Aldi will be offering jobs before the end of the year include Fulham Broadway in London and Caterham in Surrey.

“As we expand into new communities, we’re excited to bring even more people into the Aldi family,” said Aldi UK recruitment director Kelly Stokes.

“We’re proud to offer not only the best pay and benefits, but also a positive working environment and real opportunities for progression.”
