Aldi is hoping to replicate the success of its Kevin the Carrot Christmas ad character with the launch of Ebanana Scrooge.
In the 20-second teaser, viewers find out how Ebanana Scrooge came to hate Christmas. After waiting, snuggled next to a mince pie on Christmas Eve, for Father Christmas, a mystery hand then takes the mince pie, but leaves Ebanana behind, at which he cries: ‘Why didn’t he take me?’
The full advert, created by McCann UK, will air across national TV and online on 11 November.
