Amazon has unveiled its 2026 Christmas advert, following the story of a young woman determined to make it home for the holidays after severe weather leaves her stranded on Christmas Eve.
The 60-second film – titled ‘Joy Delivered’ – follows Joy, played by New Zealand actress Kate Laidler, setting off on a journey home, relying on the kindness of strangers she meets along the way.
At each stage of her journey, Joy thanks those who help her by giving them an Amazon parcel from her bag, originally intended for a family member.

The advert was filmed in New Zealand, and is set to a new rendition of The Beatles’ Golden Slumbers, using alternate studio takes from the original Abbey Road recording sessions.
Directed by three-time Emmy nominee Mark Molloy and produced by Amazon’s in-house creative team alongside production company Smuggler, the film also features costumes designed by Oscar-nominated Malgosia Turzanska.
The advert will make its UK TV debut on Friday (6 November), with 30-second, 60-second and 90-second versions running across TV, streaming, cinema, online and social media until the end of December.
