Australian snack producer Arnott’s has secured three UK grocery listings for its trending Shapes brand.
Shapes promises the “flavour of a crisp and the crunch of a cracker all in one bite”, offering a new snack proposition to the UK market, the company said.
Three variants – Chicken, Barbecue and Pizza – have already rolled out in Waitrose, Morrisons and Ocado (rsp: £2.50).
Barbecue (175g) features a “rich, tangy tomato seasoning packed with herbs”, while Chicken (175g) combines a chicken flavour with a lightly salted crimped cracker. Pizza (190g) offers a “rich tomato and cheese flavour” on a crispy base. The range is oven-baked, not fried.
The UK launch follows research from Arnott’s showing that 86% of Brits enjoy snacks from other countries, while 73% bring food home from holidays abroad.
Shapes is “one of Australia’s most-loved snacks”, according to Jenni Dill, chief growth officer at The Arnott’s Group. “With warmer weather just around the corner, we knew it was the perfect time to introduce a new snack for Brits to enjoy,” she said.
The rollout marks Arnott’s latest launch in the UK, following the introduction of its Tim Tam biscuit brand in 2024.
