The oil is available now in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado

Belazu has unveiled Picual Envero extra virgin olive oil, packaged in the brand’s first squeezy bottle format.

Billed as a “long-standing favourite” among the brand’s restaurant customers, the Spanish olive oil is now available to home cooks in a fully recyclable pack.

Made from picual olives, the oil was “prized for its naturally high polyphenol content and bold, peppery profile”, said Belazu.

Harvested at the ‘envero’ stage, when the olives reach optimal maturity, the oil is cold-extracted within hours to preserve its aromatic intensity and natural properties.

The result is a “vibrant, full-bodied” oil with notes of “ripe fruit and fresh herbs” and a peppery finish, the brand said.

Available in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Ocado, the oil (rsp: £8.50/550ml) is suitable for drizzling, finishing and everyday cooking.

Belazu’s first squeezy bottle launch came as squeezy extra virgin olive oil formats generated more than £750k in sales across Ocado, Waitrose and Tesco in the past year, said Belazu [Dunnhumby 52 w/e July 2026].

Chefs had used “squeezy bottles for years because they offer speed, control and precision”, a spokesperson from Belazu said.

“We’re seeing shoppers become much more discerning about extra virgin olive oil. They are not only looking for quality and provenance but also thinking differently about how they use it in the kitchen,” they said.

The launch comes after Filippo Berio poured three of its olive oils into squeezy bottles at the start of the year.
