GA-Select has completed on the sale of the Bell Inn,

a Lincolnshire pub with strong historical connections to World War Two. Located in the village of Halton Holgate, the pub sits in the middle of a network of old airfields that were used by the RAF and foreign air forces.

The pub receives regular visits from ex-service men and women who travel from all over the world to leave messages for each other in a book left on the bar. The property dates back to the 16th century and comprises a beamed lounge bar, snug and dining room. Sales at the small pub have consistently run at approximately £117,000 per year from a trade split of 60% wet and 40% dry.

The freehold business has been owned by John and Irene Clayton for 20 years. The pub was sold to Mick Hicken, from Derbyshire, off an asking price of £299,500.
