Bio&Me has jumped on the pistachio bandwagon, unveiling two cereals containing the trendy ingredient.
Pistachio & Vanilla Low Sugar Granola 360g and Pistachio & Chia Overnight Oats 350g have rolled into Tesco, each with an rsp of £3.50.
Developed by gut health scientist and Bio&Me co-founder Dr Megan Rossi, they contain a diverse range of plant-based ingredients that are high in fibre.
Pistachio & Vanilla Low Sugar Granola, for instance, contains 14 plant-based ingredients, including carrots, coconut and dates.
Pistachio & Chia Overnight Oats, meanwhile, contains 12 plant-based ingredients, including chia seeds, wholegrain oats and almonds.
They contain no artificial ingredients, sweeteners or palm oil and feature an EFSA-approved ‘Good For Your Gut’ health claim on pack.
“Pistachio is having a real moment, and it’s easy to see why,” said Rossi.
“Not only do they bring a naturally delicious, creamy flavour, they’re also rich in gut-loving prebiotics and plant protein, keeping you satisfied for longer with a nourished gut microbiome.”
Jon Walsh, Rossi’s co-founder and Bio&Me CEO, added: “We’ve seen strong demand from both consumers and retailers for a Bio&Me take on pistachio, so we were only too happy to oblige.”
Bio&Me relaunched its Oat Bars with a new look and updated recipes in June. It then added Daily Boost Fibre & Protein snack bars in Blueberry and Cocoa in October.
These latest launches join a slew of new chocolate and ice cream products containing pistachios to have hit supermarkets over recent weeks.
