Boots has launched its 2025 Christmas campaign, Gift Happily Ever After, starring a modern twist on Puss in Boots in a film that brings festive fairytale magic to the British high street.

“This year, more than ever, we want to help our customers gift happily ever after,” said Boots director of marketing Laura Gooday. “Our campaign, brought to life by Puss and his fairytale friends, reminds everyone that Boots is the destination for finding the perfect gift for everyone on your list.”

The 90-second ad sees Puss racing to find last-minute gifts before the Snow Queen’s Ball. A helpful magic mirror transports him from a snowy fairytale world to a bustling high street, where he stumbles into a Boots store. Inside, a beauty specialist helps him pick out presents for friends Rapunz, Snowy, Cinders and Prince Charming.

The campaign introduces more than 50 new gifting brands, including a global debut and high street exclusive with White Fox, alongside trending names such as Made by Mitchell and Beauty of Joseon.

Boots is also pushing its digital media strategy further this year, investing in location-based and social formats with ads on CityMapper, Snapchat Map and Westfield’s new Eat Street lifts, alongside sponsorships for Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball and Glide at Battersea Power Station.

Created by The Pharm – WPP’s dedicated Boots team, led by VML – the campaign will run across TV, outdoor, print and digital channels for eight weeks. It’s another sign of Boots leaning into its strength in beauty and data-driven marketing, as retailers across the sector look for fresh ways to reach shoppers this Christmas.

Directed by Dom&Nic through Outsider and developed by Rascal, the ad blends animation with live action and is set to Duran Duran’s Girls On Film. It launched on Boots’ social channels this morning (4 November) and airs on ITV tonight during The Martin Lewis Money Show.
