Lock is also a former data and loyalty director for Co-op

Boots has appointed former John Lewis director Charlotte Lock as its new customer and marketing director.

Lock announced her departure from the John Lewis Partnership as chief customer officer in January, as reported by The Grocer at the time.

She spent three years at JLP, joining in 2022 from Co-op, where she was data and loyalty director.

Her move to Boots, reported first by Retail Week, follows the health & beauty retailer becoming a private standalone company in the private equity takeover by Sycamore of Walgreens Boots Alliance in August.

“We’re pleased to welcome Charlotte Lock to Boots as our customer and marketing director from November 2025,” said Boots chief customer and commercial officer Steve Ager.

“Charlotte joins us with deep expertise in developing leading customer journeys for loved retail brands and creating seamless connections across marketing, branding and loyalty initiatives.

“We’re excited about Charlotte’s appointment as we continue our successful transformation focused on delivering exceptional experiences for our customers and upholding our brand promise: ‘With you. For Life’.”
