Bread & Jam has partnered with Givaudan to offer four challenger brands the chance to develop a product for free.
The Taste Academy is open to applications from early stage and pre-launch brands looking to create their first range or established brands looking to improve existing lines.
Launching on 30 March for 12 weeks, four brands will work together with flavour and fragrance house Givaudan’s applications team, featuring chefs and consumer insights specialists, to create and refine their products.
Participants will benefit gain access to Givaudan’s global trends data, sensory experiences, technical experts, production capabilities and ethical ingredient networks.
They will meet the team at Givaudan’s UK HQ in Milton Keynes, where they will receive samples of their products to showcase at Bread & Jam Festival, taking place at London’s Business Design Centre on 14-15 July.
The Taste Academy is open for applications now until 10 March, when applications will be reviewed by Givaudan’s team of technical, marketing and commercial experts.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to pitch online from 16-20 March, before the final four brands are selected.
“Fmcg is not a level playing field. The big corporates have access to knowledge and expertise that the challenger brand community can only dream of,” said Bread & Jam co-founder Jason Gibb.
“But that dream has just become a reality. And for free. I can’t quite believe it myself.”
