Stir-fry vegetable producers have joined forces to launch a generic consumer PR campaign.
The companies, Bourne Stir Fry, Kanes Foods and Simply Fresh Foods, have created the Fresh Cut Stir Fry Alliance, fronted by fusion food celebrity chef Peter Gordon. They hope to achieve similar success to the Watercress Alliance’s ‘Not just a bit on the side’ campaign which increased sales by £1.75m.
Peter Gordon has created ‘stir fusion’ recipes, mixing ingredients from various cuisines for the campaign and nutritionist Fiona Hunter has been recruited to advise on health messages.
The watercress promotion featured glamour model Jo Guest naked but garnished in watercress.
