Cathedral City is marking 60 years of the brand with a nationwide tour this May.
The Cathedral City food truck will visit Manchester, Bristol, London and Glasgow serving up “hot, comforting dishes designed to showcase the brand’s rich, melty cheddar” such as cheese toasties and jacket potatoes.
The brand said the tour would demonstrate its versatility and reinforce its position as a category leader.
“For 60 years, Cathedral City has been helping consumers make everyday meals better, while also supporting retailers by driving growth in the cheese category,” said Georgina Thomas, marketing director at Cathedral City. “Our 60th birthday tour is a fun, interactive way to showcase the quality and versatility of our cheddar, and a celebration of the role Cathedral City continues to play as a must-stock brand in the aisle.”
The food truck tour will stop in Manchester (New Cathedral Gardens) on 7 May, Bristol (Broadmead) on 16 May, London (Queen’s Walk) on 23 May, and Glasgow (Buchanan Street) on 28 May.
Cathedral City has also partnered with food influencer James O’Sullivan, known as Beefy Boys Food Tour, to create two exclusive recipes.
The 60-year celebration will be further amplified through shopper marketing activity including branded bays, in-store digital screens, and enhanced online visibility, to create standout at the point of purchase.
The activity will run alongside the brand’s ‘Makes It Better’ campaign which showcases how Cathedral City can enhance family-favourite dishes.
