Cathedral City has launched a Bacon Mac & Cheese into Sainsbury’s.
Cathedral City Bacon Mac & Cheese (rsp: £4.25) combines smoky bacon, pasta and Cathedral City’s signature “rich and creamy” cheese sauce.
The ready meal has been developed to offer shoppers “the ultimate comfort food experience”.
It builds on the success of Cathedral City’s existing Mac & Cheese and broader ready meal range, which the brand said “continues to resonate strongly with consumers seeking convenient, great-tasting meal solutions”.
“Our ready meals range continues to go from strength to strength, and we’re delighted to be expanding our offering with the launch of Bacon Mac & Cheese in Sainsbury’s,” said the brand. “Mac & Cheese remains one of the nation’s favourite comfort food dishes, and we know shoppers are increasingly looking for premium, flavour-packed options that don’t compromise on convenience.
“By combining our signature Cathedral City cheese sauce with smoky bacon, we’ve created a recipe that delivers on indulgence, taste and satisfaction.”
The launch forms part of Cathedral City’s wider licensing growth strategy, which continues to extend the brand into new eating occasions and categories, it added.
It comes following news that Saputo UK was planning on selling its UK brands, including Cathedral City, to rival dairy company Lactalis.
