
Cif has added two Anti Bac variants to Infinite Clean, its burgeoning range of multi-purpose cleaning sprays featuring probiotics.
Anti Bac Lemon & Aloe Vera Spray and Anti Bac Apple & Jasmine Spray have joined the refillable lineup with rsps of £2.79/250ml and £4/280ml. Refills are priced at £3/280ml and £4/590ml (Anti Bac Lemon & Aloe Vera only).
Rolling out now, both variants contained “a unique disinfection agent, delivering powerful yet modern cleaning performance”, said Cif owner Unilever. The sprays were “developed to meet the needs of consumers looking for a convenient all-in-one product that effectively kills viruses and bacteria while delivering a pleasant fragrance”.
The probiotics in the cleaning formula remain inactive until they encounter dirty surfaces, where they germinate and feed on grime. They continued “to target dirt after the spray has been used, reaching hard-to-clean areas for a thorough clean that lasts up to three days”, according to Unilever.
Each refillable bottle carries a three-year guarantee and boasts a ‘mist-technology’ trigger system that delivers the cleaning fluid evenly.
“UK consumers are increasingly prioritising hygiene, with one in five seeking antibacterial cleaners to safeguard their homes and loved ones,” said Guille Vorsen, UK&I homecare marketing director at Unilever.
“Cif Infinite Clean Anti-Bac is a uniquely versatile product, allowing consumers to clean and disinfect a wide range of surfaces throughout their homes and beyond. It offers powerful germ-killing action through its disinfecting agent – and the product’s probiotic technology delivers a long-lasting clean, making it a truly all-in-one solution.”
The launch of the Anti-Bac duo was “a direct response to evolving consumer demands”, Vorsen added. “By bridging the gap between effective disinfection and a desirable cleaning experience, we’re aiming to attract new shoppers as well as encourage current shoppers to trade up from existing multipurpose sprays to a higher-value, all-in-one solution.”
Cif Infinite Clean launched last April in Lime & Lemongrass, Lavender & Eucalyptus and Sensitive Lotus & Mineral Salt. It had helped Cif deliver value growth of 7% over the past year, Unilever said. “These latest additions to the Infinite Clean range are expected to accelerate this further by encouraging incremental category growth.”
