The Co-op is set for an expansion of its fashion store-within-a-store concept this month.
The convenience retailer is set to open six new concessions in its stores for fashion retailers Peacocks and Bonmarché.
The move will take the total number of concessions with the retail brands to 20.
By the end of September there will be new Peacocks stores in Co-op sites located in Cranleigh, Machynlleth, Kippax and Whitby. These will take the total number of Co-op Peacocks concessions to 13.
The number of Bonmarché concessions will reach seven with the addition of stores in Lampeter in Ceredigion and Shotts in North Lanarkshire.
The Bonmarché stores feature collections from brand ambassadors Lisa Snowdon and Lorraine Kelly, as well the retailer’s Dash and Autonomy brands.
Peacocks includes new collections from Dani Dyer, Louise Redknapp and Michael Owen.
“We are delighted to grow our partnership with Peacocks and Bonmarché, and to work with them to unveil their latest in-store concessions,” said Co-op head of partnerships Kevin Buchan.
“Co-op is committed to backing high streets and communities, and we work to ensure our stores are more than just a shop.
“We aim to create a destination in communities combining great-quality products, value and deals along with a compelling range of added services – all at the heart of local community life.
“Providing a home for Peacocks and Bonmarché inside the local Co-op enables them to bring their latest value fashion collections to more communities, at the same time providing a new store, employment opportunities and additional consumer choice, locally.”
Bonmarché retail director Amanda Waterfield said: “This new ‘store in store’ concept allows us to showcase our full fashion offering, including our latest collections and exciting celebrity collaborations.
“We’re excited to become part of these new communities and offer customers stylish womenswear at exceptional value.”
Peacocks retail director Sharron Lamb added: “With our new autumn ranges, classic Christmas PJs and winter accessories available in-store now, shoppers can be sure to get everything they need to get ready for the new season at Peacocks.”
