Costco's 24th depot opens in Southampton as planning hurdles delay expansion

Costco opened its 24th UK depot today in Southampton. The 130,000 sq ft depot has created 250 jobs and stocks the full offer.

Costco is bidding to open 14 new depots worldwide by September. It plans to open its 25th UK depot, in Farnborough, Hampshire, in late June.

Planning hurdles have meant it has struggled to open UK sites as fast as it would have liked. Its most recent opening was in Leicester in December.
