US coffee and doughnut giant Dunkin’ has launched a retail coffee range in the UK.
Nespresso-compatible capsules in flavours including Vanilla, Caramel and Original Blend (rsp: £4.25/10 pods), as well as Dolce Gusto-compatible capsules in flavours including Cappuccino and Caramel Latte (rsp: from £4.95/10 pods) have this month rolled out on Ocado.
Sales, marketing and distribution is being overseen by family-run distribution business RH Amar.
RH Amar’s portfolio of distributed brands includes the likes of Del Monte, Mutti, Kikkoman and Ella’s Kitchen, while it also owns the Camp Coffee, Cooks&Co and Mary Berry’s Dressings brands.
“We’re proud to be chosen as Dunkin’s UK distribution partner,” said RH Amar commercial director Justin Burbage. “Dunkin’ is one of the world’s most recognisable coffee brands and this partnership gives us an exciting opportunity to bring something fresh and fun to the UK coffee market.”
Clive Brennan, director of international strategic initiatives and omnichannel at Dunkin’ owner Inspire Brands, added: “We’re delighted to be entering the UK retail market in collaboration with RH Amar. This marks an important step in our international retail journey, and we look forward to working together to make Dunkin’ coffee an even more familiar and much-loved choice for UK shoppers.”
Dunkin’ was founded in 1950 and is the largest coffee and doughnuts brand in the US. It operates more than 14,000 restaurants in nearly 40 global markets, including around 20 in the UK.
