Former Britvic GB&I managing director Paul Graham has been appointed chief commercial office at C&C Group.
Graham, who left Britvic following the soft drinks supplier’s merger with Carlsberg, replaces Barry Sheehan who retires at the end of this month.
Since leaving Britvic, Graham has acted as a non-executive director at functional soft drinks brand Xoxo Soda, a role he will continue to hold whilst working for C&C.
Graham spent 11 years as MD of Britvic, sitting on its executive committee and contributing to strategy, governance, capital allocation, and investment decisions – including the acquisition and integration of Plenish and Jimmy’s Iced Coffee.
He also acted as president of the British Soft Drinks Association between 2021 and 2024.
Before joining Britvic, Paul held the role of UK commercial director and GM Ireland for United Biscuits. His earlier career was spent at Mars confectionary.
As CCO at C&C Group, Graham would work with CEO Roger White and the rest of the executive committee “on the delivery of our business strategy, and specifically the delivery of our commercial targets”, the Tennent’s brand owner said in a statement.
“I’m excited to be joining C&C Group as chief commercial officer,” Graham said. “It’s a fascinating time for the hospitality sector – lots of change, but also real opportunity – and C&C sits right at the heart of it with a strong portfolio of brands and a unique route to market.
“Having spent my career working alongside customers and building businesses in fmcg, I’m looking forward to getting out into the trade quickly, listening carefully and focusing on where we can create the most value together.
“There’s a real opportunity to build something distinctive over the next few years – for our customers, our partners and the business – and I’m excited to get started.”
