Finnebrogue has expanded its Guinness partnership with the launch of Guinness Unsmoked Back Bacon and Guinness Premium Pork Sausages.

The manufacturer holds the sole UK producer licence to craft sausages, burgers and bacon with the Guinness stout flavour and launched Guinness Premium Beef Burgers into Sainsbury’s earlier this year.

Finnebrogue 6 Guinness Pork Sausages (rsp: £3.75/400g) are gluten-free and made from British and Irish pork. They offer a juicy tang with a sweetness from caramelised red onion, the brand said.

Finnebrogue 6 Guinness Back Bacon Rashers (rsp: £2.75/200g) are made without nitrites and have a rich and deep colour from the stout, balanced with a “subtle sweetness from treacle”.

The range is launching into Tesco on 22 September with further rollout on Ocado.

“At Finnebrogue, we’re passionate about redefining mealtime favourites with real innovation,” said Stephanie Byers, Finnebrogue brand manager. “Our Guinness burgers have already proved a fantastic success, and it’s exciting to now expand the range with two more innovative products – Guinness Back Bacon and Guinness Pork Sausages.

“These launches give shoppers the chance to enjoy the bold flavour of Guinness in fresh new ways, from breakfast through to dinner.”

Finnebrogue has also extended the range into foodservice and wholesale, working with wholesaler Booker to create Beef & Guinness Burgers and Pork & Guinness Sausages as part of its premium Blackgate label.
