A new company called Fun Foods 4 All is set to launch a healthy range of character licensed children’s foods.
Kicking off the range will be The Simpsons organic dry pasta, shaped in the form of characters from the animated show. The pasta will come in two varieties - plain and tricolour (rsp: 99p for 500g).
Company director Mike Barrett - who has worked at Mars, Allied Bakeries and Bernard Matthews - said the aim of the new children’s range was to produce low salt, low sugar and low fat foods that appealed to parents and kids.
“The Simpsons was chosen because of universal appeal that has made it the most successful cartoon licence ever, registering with children, teens and parents alike,” he added.
The organic pasta will initially be launched into Nisa members next month to coincide with the start of a new series of The Simpsons on Channel 4, and in ‘a major multiple’ in October.
