Millionaire Crumble and Cinnamon Swirl are available now in Iceland and The Food Warehouse

Galaxy has expanded its More to Share range with a duo of bakery-inspired flavours.

Millionaire Crumble and Cinnamon Swirl have launched exclusively in Iceland and The Food Warehouse before a wider grocery rollout this autumn (rsp: £3.25/160g).

The new flavours come in response to Galaxy’s research, which found more than a third of consumers rank millionaire’s shortbread as their favourite dessert-inspired flavour.

The continued popularity of cinnamon across the bakery aisle also highlighted consumer demand for “comforting, nostalgic flavours”, said the brand.

Millionaire Crumble offers the “rich caramel and buttery crumble flavours” of a millionaire shortbread, while Cinnamon Swirl “recreates the warming sweetness of a freshly baked pastry”.

“Small moments of indulgence can make all the difference, and familiar bakery flavours have a unique way of bringing comfort,” said Romi Mackiewicz, brand director at Galaxy.

“We wanted to capture those much-loved tastes through Galaxy’s signature smooth chocolate, creating two new flavours that offer a fresh twist for loyal fans while inviting new consumers to experience Galaxy.”

Galaxy isn’t the only fmcg brand tapping into bakery-inspired flavours. Jimmy’s Iced Coffee has launched a series of limited-edition variants inspired by sweet treat favourites, including Donut, Vietnamese and Cookie Butter. Similarly, Nestlé added bakery-inspired variants to its Aero, Milkybar and Munchies brands last year.
