South African Macadamia Milk brand Giraf has launched into the UK for the first time.

The range is made from sustainably grown South African macadamias with no added seed oils.

It is made up of three variants – Original, Oat and Unsweetened – and is dairy-free, lactose-free and gluten-free.

The full range is made with 4% macadamias, which the brand said offered a higher nut content than most alternatives on the market.

The Unsweetened is the newest in the range, and contains 77 calories and 0.4g sugar per 250ml.

“Giraf is about better choices without compromise,” said Philip Moufarrige, MD of Giraf and AmberMacs. “We’re proud to bring a premium macadamia milk to the UK that delivers on taste, texture, and quality, with thoughtful sourcing at the core.”

It comes in long-life one-litre cartons in 100% recyclable packaging, with a 12-month shelf life.

The range is produced by AmberMacs, one of South Africa’s leading macadamia processors, and will be available to retailers and foodservice providers.
