GrowUp Farms has announced the launch of Baby Garlic Kale Mix under its Unbeleafable brand.

The SKU is the latest from the vertical farm, which was rescued from administration by its former CEO Marcus Whately just before Christmas.

Unbeleafable Baby Garlic Kale Mix (rsp: £1.50/80g) contains a mix of kale and garlic flavours, a unique combination to the bagged salad category in the UK.

The business said it was “perfect as a base for vibrant salads, a flavourful addition to grain bowls, or lightly wilted into warm dishes”.

It added that the garlic removed the need for added seasoning.

“The launch of the Baby Garlic Kale Mix reflects our commitment to innovation and flavour-led product development,” said director Whately. “Consumers want exciting, healthy and convenient food options like this.

“Kale is becoming more popular and, with its distinctive taste and premium quality, the new salad brings something genuinely new to the bagged salad category while staying true to Unbeleafable’s promise of freshness, sustainability and great taste.”

The product is grown in GrowUp’s controlled environment vertical farm which means it has “consistent quality, taste and freshness all year round”.

The leaves are grown without pesticides or chlorine washing and are harvested at peak freshness and packed immediately on site.

“With the Unbeleafable range, we pride ourselves on having created ready-to-eat salads that taste better, are fresher and crisper, and last longer than any other prepped salad,” said Whately. “This new product packs a powerful, flavoursome punch, but is a great healthy option following the Christmas season indulgence.”

It joins three other SKUs in the range including Mixed Baby Leaves, Rocket & Baby Leaves, and Zesty Baby Leaves.
