Hellmann’s has expanded its Ranch sauce range with two “American-inspired” variants.
Billed as “the first of its kind in the UK”, Blue Cheese combines “bold flavours” with creamy buttermilk sauce.
Meanwhile, Buffalo combines ranch sauce with fermented chillies to deliver a “fiery, creamy” taste.
They will roll into major retailers on 16 March (rsp: £3.50/430ml), meeting shoppers’ “growing demand for US-style condiments”, and joining Hellmann’s Creamy and Spicy Ranch sauces, which launched in April.
Creamy and Spicy presented “a strong opportunity to establish ranch as a brand-new subcategory within condiments and a new go-to flavour option,” said Richard Vaughan, marketing manager at Unilever Foods, at the time.
Gen Z shoppers in the UK had become familiar with ranch sauce “from consuming it in various restaurants and fast food outlets”, Vaughan told The Grocer.
Meanwhile, TikTok had become “a major platform for ranch-themed content, featuring numerous trending videos about US restaurant chains like Wingstop and Popeyes, which are both known for their ranch sauces”, he added.
Indeed, Hellmann’s introduction of Creamy and Spicy Ranch was the biggest new product launch in the flavour sauces category in the past two years, Unilever claimed, citing NIQ data [40 w/e 24 January 2026].
“We are excited to build on this momentum,” said Vaughan. “Representing the UK’s first-ever Ranch sauces to be launched in these flavours by a major brand, we’re confident they will help retailers drive further category growth.”
