Ten-year-old Olivia was the first to try it and she chose the version for normal hair. She said immediately that it smelt like soap. I wasn't convinced that soap was an appropriate smell for a shampoo, but it was definitely a very clean smell. I tried the shampoo for coloured hair, while my mother tried the variant for permed hair. Jack, aged 13, was not sure which he used, but he gave it a good review anyway. We all followed the instructions and repeated the steps with the conditioner. My hair is fairly fine so I prefer not to use too much conditioner. If I do, I'm unable to style it as it becomes floppy, which is a bit of a drawback as my job involves looking smart and professional. Once our hair was dry we were all quite pleased with the result. It felt silky and soft and Olivia's long hair looked particularly shiny and very chic. Jack was really pleased that his mystery shampoo managed to wash out the residue of wax left from his daily styling  a necessity for any self-respecting and vain 13-year-old. My mother, who washes her hair every other day, also has very fine hair. In typical fashion, she declared  after one day's use only  that Dove had made little difference. After two weeks of using the shampoo, however, she said she had noticed that her hair did seem less frizzy around the ends. In conclusion, I thought these were good products and very competitively priced at £2.59. When I see them on the shelves, I'll be popping them in my trolley. {{P&P }}
