Swedish retailer ICA is looking at entering the Finnish market, according to media reports.
ICA is currently owned by Dutch retailer Ahold, who has a 50% stake in the company. A further 30% is held by ICA Forbundet and 20% by Canica.
In a news report earlier this week, it was announced that ICA Forbundet will soon hold 40% and Ahold 60%, following an agreement to buy Canica’s shares.
ICA currently has a presence in both Norway and Sweden, and is reported to be seeking a partnership or acquisitions in Finland.
