Iceland Foods is offering free same-day delivery on any order over £40, in its latest online sales drive.
Between 13 and 16 April, any online shopper placing an order of more than £40 will be able to reserve a delivery slot up until 9pm the same day.
Iceland typically charges £3.20 for the slots, but the supermarket said it was running the promotion to ease the impact of the cost of living crisis that “continues to cripple Brits across fuel prices and energy.”
However, the supermarket is also in the midst of a major expansion of its online shopping offer and is running offers as a way of attracting new customers. In the run-up to Easter, Iceland ran a similar promotion, offering free same-day delivery to new customers making their first order online.
Iceland also continues to offer free next-day delivery on orders above £25. Orders are fulfilled via the nearest Iceland or Food Warehouse branch. Members of its recently relaunched Iceland Bonus Club loyalty programme can also access free home delivery when spending over £40.
Iceland enjoyed record “online sales last year” and has been rapidly expanding its Amazon delivery offer across the UK over the past year, following the rollout of a new store-fulfilled operating model in March 2025.
Last week the supermarket began trialling a new order picking solution, that aggregates orders from delivery apps into a single device. The tech is designed to reduce the time it takes store teams to pick orders, enabling the reduced costs.
“We know customers are continuing to feel the pinch, especially after the school holidays and as uncertainty from the Middle East continues,” said Iceland executive chairman Richard Walker on the latest promotion.
“We’re proud to introduce this promotion for all our customers, helping families stock up on the essentials.”
