Wholesaler JJ Foodservice has introduced new self-service kiosks that will enable its customers to access the same exclusive deals previously only available via its click & collect service.

JJ has installed touchscreens in all 12 branches, which it said gave walk-in customers “faster service and better prices at the touch of a screen”.

The screens have been in operation for a month and JJ said it had processed orders worth £575k through the kiosks.

“The best way to save at JJ was to order online in advance – but that meant counter customers were missing out,” said COO Kaan Hendekli. “Now, they can enjoy the same savings in-branch, with our quick, easy-to-use kiosks.”

“The response has been fantastic. The kiosks are making shopping even easier – saving customers time, reducing costs, and improving convenience nationwide.”

JJ Foodservice is currently 19th in The Grocer’s ranking of the UK’s biggest wholesalers. According to its most recent accounts, it posted sales of £249.6m in the 12 months to 31 March, with pre-tax profits of £11.2m over the same period.
