Kerrygold Cream Cheese with Garlic & Herb combines cream from Irish grass-fed cows with garlic and herbs for a ‘savoury twist’

Kerrygold has expanded its cream cheese range with the launch of a Garlic & Herb line.

Kerrygold Cream Cheese with Garlic & Herb (rsp: £2.50/180g) combines cream from Irish grass-fed cows with garlic and herbs for a “savoury twist”.

The brand said it was “perfect for spreading, dipping or stirring into a range of dishes”.

It comes after the launch of Kerrygold Cream Cheese in April, which senior brand manager Lucy Hay said was proving to be a “real success attracting new shoppers into the cream cheese category and contributing to its ongoing expansion”.

The new line will launch into Sainsbury’s from mid-September, and from mid-October both Natural and Garlic & Herb lines will be listed for the first time in Tesco stores in the UK.

The brand said this enhanced distribution would help to drive further growth in sales frequency and household penetration.

Sales will be supported by a multi-platform campaign aligned with Kerrygold’s global ‘Make it Gold’ campaign including a cream cheese advert, experiential activity led by Kerrygold brand ambassador and chef Lee Tiernan, and in-store shopper and promotional activity.

“By leveraging Kerrygold’s values of naturalness, simplicity and demonstrable provenance, we believe we’re setting ‘the new gold standard in cream cheese’,” Hay added.
