KFC is launching a new limited-edition street food-inspired range featuring naan bread as burger buns, and is introducing matcha to its menu for the first time.
From today (20 July) until 23 August, the fried chicken chain is launching a new Tandoori Zinger Crispy Naan, which pairs a Zinger chicken fillet with tandoori sauce, tomato, red onion, lettuce and melted cheese inside two naan breads.
This will be available alongside a Creamy Original Crispy Naan with an Original Recipe fillet and a yoghurt and shallot sauce.
The range also includes Tandoori Loaded Fries, which sees KFC fries topped with Popcorn Chicken, both the yoghurt and shallot sauce and the tandoori sauce, and crispy onions.
To cater to sharing orders, KFC is introducing a Tandoori Dipping Feast, which features up to 14 Original Recipe Tenders, two portions of Tandoori Loaded Fries, regular fries, sides, a choice of classic dips, and a large bottle of drink.
Also available from today, the food-to-go chain is expanding its Kwench specialty drinks range with two matcha drinks for the first time.
Made daily in-store by the KFC team using PerfectTed ceremonial-grade matcha, the drinks are available in two flavours: Iced Strawberry Shortcake and Vanilla. Both can be made with dairy milk or Oatly oat milk.
It follows the launch of KFC’s Tenders & Dips range last month, in a move that marked the brand’s biggest expansion to date.
The range pairs KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken Tenders, which are available in portions of three, five and 10, with nine new dipping sauces in Sweet Teriyaki, Hot Honey Habanero, Honey Mustard, Texas BBQ, Original Sauce, Jalapeño Ranch, Supercharger, Garlic Parm, and Mango Masala.
