The yoghurt manufacturer announced the construction of what it called a ‘brand-new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility’ at its Rochdale headquarters

Lancashire Farm Dairies has announced an expansion to capitalise on increasing demand.

The yoghurt manufacturer will build what it called a “brand-new, state-of-the-art warehouse facility” at its Rochdale headquarters.

Set to complete in January, the company said it will increase storage capacity, efficiency, and allow it to meet “growing demand” for its range of yoghurts made with free-range milk.

“This investment marks a major milestone in our journey,” said Lancashire Farm Dairies MD Azhar Zouq. “As demand for our products continues to grow, it’s essential our infrastructure keeps pace.

“The new warehouse is not only about capacity, it’s about efficiency, sustainability, and ensuring we’re fit for the future.”

According to the company, which was established in 1984, the new facility will feature energy-efficient design aligning with its environmental commitments, and improve supply chain resilience.

The development has followed a series of strategic investments in manufacturing technology and sustainability initiatives, including the use of renewable energy and recyclable packaging.

Lancashire Farm Dairies believes the expansion will “reinforce” its position in the UK dairy industry through the combination of “traditional values with forward-looking innovation”.

Zouq added: “We’re proud to be investing in Rochdale and the wider Lancashire region.

“Supporting local jobs, skills, and communities remains at the heart of what we do.”
