Lindt is leaning further into the matcha trend, unveiling a duo of “Japanese‑inspired” chocolate truffles alongside the return of its limited‑edition Matcha Strawberry bar.
The spring range features two new Lindor truffle flavours – Cherry Blossom and Matcha – that will be available until August.
The Cherry Blossom truffle is described as a Sakura-flavoured truffle inspired by Japan’s blossom season, with a “cherry blossom filling in a velvety white chocolate shell”. It is available now at Lindt stores and on its website, and will launch exclusively in Tesco from May (rsp: £7.50/200g).
The Matcha variant blends white chocolate with a matcha‑infused green tea centre. It will be available at Lindt stores, on its website and nationwide across all retailers from May (rsp: £7.50/200g).
Lindt is also bringing back its Tokyo Style Chocolate Matcha Strawberry bar, after a limited run of 200 bars sold out at its flagship London Piccadilly store in December. Made with premium ceremonial‑grade Chamei Minami matcha, crispy genmai roasted rice and Lindt’s Swiss white chocolate, it is available exclusively at Lindt stores and on its website until August (rsp: £10/150g).
“Inspired by the florals of Sakura and the depth of matcha from Japan, our new flavours combine delicate, seasonal tastes with Lindt’s signature Swiss white chocolate,” said Miquetta de Castro, master chocolatier at Lindt & Sprüngli UK.
