London Essence Tonics

Zero Sugar and Riviera will land in major retailers including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado, and Amazon on 15 March

London Essence has launched what it claims is the first zero-sugar tonic free from artificial sweeteners.

London Essence Zero Sugar Tonic Water would “cater to shoppers seeking health-conscious choices without compromising on taste”, the Carlsberg Britvic-owned brand said.

It offered “a clean and light flavour with bright citrus complexity” and was designed to be paired with both premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic spirits, it added.

The brand has also debuted Riviera Tonic Water, a Mediterranean-inspired tonic made with rosemary extract from Italy.

It is designed for mixing with gins as well as vermouth and other aperitif-style spirits.

Both tonics will land in major retailers including Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Ocado, and Amazon on 15 March, before hitting Morrisons shelves next month (rsp: £4/6x150ml).

“Our mixing range is entering a new era with the launch of two standout innovations: Zero Sugar and Riviera tonic waters,” said Russell Goldman, MD for breakthrough brands at Carlsberg Britvic. “They respond to growing consumer demand for premium, healthier choices when socialising, without compromising on taste.

“As the UK’s only premium zero-sugar tonic free from artificial sweeteners, we’re proud to offer a natural, great-tasting option that delivers the best of both worlds.”
