Wednesday's Domaine

Both wines carry an abv of 6.5%

Low & no wine brand Wednesday’s Domaine has moved into mid-strength, unveiling a white wine called Doré and red wine called Boisé.

The wines had been created for “long lunches that drift into evening” and “midweek dinners that deserve something special”, said Wednesday’s Domaine.

Both carry an abv of 6.5% and have landed via DTC (rsp: £18.99/75cl).

They are produced in central Spain from a blend of dealcoholised organic base wine and full-strength counterparts. This helped “to preserve texture, aroma and structure”, according to the supplier.

Doré – “a bright, rounded chardonnay” – had a “mouthwatering acidity and a rounded fruit profile”, it said.

Meanwhile, Boisé, made from tempranillo grapes, offered “gentle tannic structure, red fruit and subtle acidity”.

“Wednesday’s Domaine began life as a midweek wine alternative, yet three years later, our ambition is much bigger than that,” said Wednesday’s Domaine founder Luke Hemsley. “It’s a modern wine for modern times.”

Wednesday’s Domaine’s non-alcoholic wines are stocked in specialist retailers and on Ocado.
