Lucky Saint has announced the departure of its managing director Emma Heal.
Heal’s departure after a six-year stint as Lucky Saint MD was a “mutual decision,” the low & no alcohol brewer said in a statement. A reason for her exit was not given.
“Emma has made a huge impact in her time as managing director and partner at Lucky Saint,” Lucky Saint founder Luke Boase said. “As one of the earliest people to join me and the business in 2020, Emma has helped lead Lucky Saint, scaling from an early-stage startup to the number four brand in the category and the UK’s most loved alcohol-free beer brand.
“In that time, we also achieved B Corp certification and were recognised as a Sunday Times Best Place to Work. We are hugely grateful to Emma for her significant contributions to Lucky Saint and wish her every success in the future.”
Lucky Saint would seek to appoint a replacement for Heal “to continue building on these strong foundations: fulfilling our vision to be the UK’s number one alcohol-free beer; extending the category through innovation and expanding into new international markets”, Boase added.
“This next phase of our journey is about growing the business towards £100m in RSV as we continue to redefine the alcohol-free beer category.
“We look forward to this exciting period as we continue to scale the brand.”
Revenues at Lucky Saint shot up to £21.7m in the 18 months to 29 June 2025, according to the group’s latest financial accounts filed at Companies House.
The sales jump represented a 126% rise over the £9.6m generated in the 12 months to the end of 2023 as Lucky Saint won significant distribution gains in retail and hospitality.
However, cumulative losses surpassed £20m as the alcohol-free brewer continued to invest heavily in marketing and expanding its team.
