Lyle’s Golden Syrup has unveiled a duo of ice creams.
Gooey Syrup Swirls and Honeycomb Pieces (rsp: £4.75/500g) are made with British milk and double cream, sweetened with ripples of Lyle’s Golden Syrup. They contain no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.
Gooey Syrup Swirls will hit Iceland on 24 March for an exclusive period, with Honeycomb Pieces to follow later in the year.
“This launch taps into two big ice cream trends for 2026: British dessert flavours and comforting nostalgia,” said Lyle’s brand manager Olivia Haley.
“Our Golden Syrup is reminiscent of childhood treats, yet it’s a unique flavour in ice cream today,” Haley added.
This isn’t the first time Lyle’s has ventured into ice cream. In 2008, it teamed up with Fredericks Dairies to launch a one-litre tub into Tesco.
In 2022, it launched branded 500ml tubs into fashion designer Anya Hindmarch’s London Belgravia store as part of its summer Ice Cream Project. The pop-up also included Heinz Tomato Ketchup and PG Tips ice creams.
Lyle’s isn’t the only traditionally ambient brand to have launched an ice cream range with Iceland. In August, McVitie’s launched a duo of 500ml tubs and two handheld ice creams into the retailer. They were: Hobnobs Ice Cream, Milk Chocolate Digestives Ice Cream, Jaffa Cakes Triple Dipped Sticks (three) and Gold Digestives Ice Cream Bar 200ml.
