BBC Worldwide is launching Blue Peter Magazine on 27 June the first regular magazine on the children's programme in its 43-year history.
The 32-page magazine, aimed at five to eight-year-old children, has a cover price of £1.25 and comes with a covermounted gift. It has an initial print run of 150,000 and will be published every four weeks.
Blue Peter Magazine will feature the television programme's presenters in a regular comic strip, together with photo features and extra information linked to items on the show, plus recipes and makes, posters, puzzles, competitions. and a readers' page featuring Blue Peter badgeholders.
Publisher Toni Round says: "Blue Peter has never had a regular magazine. We're putting that right with a title that will extend enjoyment of the show and like its TV counterpart be entertaining, informative and fun."
