Instant noodle brand Maggi has introduced a trio of new ramen flavours.
Single-serve packs in Tom Yum with Chilli, Beef and Lemongrass and Soya Chicken with Mushrooms have rolled out in Home Bargains stores nationwide (rsp: £1.20/90g).
They feature a larger noodle cake with “a thicker, springier noodle” than Maggi’s regular instant noodles and promise to deliver “a rich, soupy ramen experience”.
The new HFSS-compliant range was inspired by popular Asian noodle dishes and could be customised with the addition of protein and vegetables, Maggi said.
Tom Yum with Chilli offered “hot and sour Thai-inspired flavours, with chilli, lemongrass and ginger”.
Beef & Lemongrass featured a “more fragrant broth inspired by a Vietnamese pho” alongside herbs and spices including cinnamon and coriander.
Rounding out the range, the Japanese-inspired Soya Chicken with Mushroom flavour combined “savoury umami notes with ginger, garlic and mushroom pieces”.
“Maggi Ramen brings together the convenience people expect from Maggi with delicious flavours inspired by noodle dishes in Asia,” said Danielle McAreavey, head of marketing for Maggi UK & Ireland. “The new range is an exciting step for the brand as we continue to build our range and bring shoppers more choice when they want something fast, tasty and a little more adventurous.”
Maggi Ramen joins other newly launched single-serve products this year including a Korean-inspired noodles range. Unveiled in June, it features noodles in Gochujang Beef, Spicy Cheese and Kimchi Chicken flavours
Maggi also launched a six-strong range of microwavable ready-meals in in May.
