Successful candidates will start on 25 October

Marks & Spencer is the latest retailer to kick off its Christmas recruitment drive, with 11,000 seasonal store support roles to fill.

Recruits will receive M&S’s entry-level national pay rate of £13.41 an hour, the third-highest offered by a major UK grocer after Aldi and Lidl.

Successful applicants will join M&S on 25 October to support its store teams during the busiest weeks of the year. They will also receive training.

“Our brilliant store colleagues play such an important part in delivering the magic of M&S at Christmas, and we’re looking forward to welcoming 11,000 new colleagues to teams this year,” said M&S retailer director Thinus Keeve.

“Christmas is busy, fast-moving and a really exciting time to join M&S. We’ll give new colleagues the training, tools and support they need to get up to speed quickly. What matters most is bringing energy, curiosity and a real commitment to doing the right thing for our customers and working as part of the team.”

M&S’s Christmas careers page is taking applications for the seasonal roles now.
