The recall affects packs with the lot number 5242

Marks & Spencer has recalled a “small number” of Milk Chocolate Honeycomb packs.

The recall impacts Milk Chocolate Honeycomb 120g packs with the lot number 5242 and best before date 12 May 2026.

The product may contain peanuts, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

The retailer has issued a point-of-sale notice, which states: “Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer and we take all issues regarding the production of our foods extremely seriously.”

“Although our chocolate honeycomb packaging is clearly labelled unsuitable for peanut allergy sufferers, we have taken the precaution of recalling a small number of packs that may contain peanuts,” a spokeswoman for the retailer told The Grocer.

M&S has urged shoppers who have an allergy or intolerance to peanuts not to consume the product. Instead, they can return it to their nearest store for a full refund.

The FSA said it had advised M&S to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

Tesco has also issued a recall this week of its Free From Gluten & Wheat Breadcrumbs. The product was found to contain gluten, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or with coeliac disease.
