Zingy Ginger Digestion is designed to be consumed as a digestive aid, while Sweet Cherry Night Time had been created “specifically for the evening wind-down”, said Moju.
The former contains fresh root ginger alongside 4g of prebiotic fibre from jerusalem artichoke and chicory root. It also contains pineapple and fresh mint leaves.
The NPD responded to “growing interest in digestive wellbeing”, said Moju. Some 86% of respondents had experienced at least one gastrointestinal symptom in the previous four weeks, the supplier pointed out, citing the European Journal of Nutrition.
Zingy Ginger Digestion was therefore “a dedicated digestive support proposition designed to fit easily into morning and mealtime routines”, it added.
Meanwhile, Sweet Cherry Night Time contains sweet and sour cherries alongside chamomile, passionflower, fresh root turmeric and magnesium – contributing to the normal functioning of the nervous system.
The NPD was aimed at the third of consumers that reported struggling with sleep, said Moju, citing YouGov survey data.
It could be enjoyed as a shot or added to hot water, the supplier added.
Both launches would seek to expand the usage occasions for juice shots beyond the morning, where 60% of all shots were currently consumed, Moju CEO and co-founder Rich Goldsmith said.
“Functional shots have become a really established part of people’s daily health and wellbeing routines, but we think there’s an opportunity for the category across more parts of the day,” he said. “A key role of our innovation strategy is looking at where else our shots can play a genuinely useful role in consumers’ lives.
“Digestion builds on an established role for shots in supporting everyday digestive needs, drawing on the natural functionality of ingredients like ginger, while Night Time takes us into a completely new time of day.
“They’re very different products, but both are about expanding the role functional shots can play in people’s daily routines, creating new opportunities for the category to grow.”
The launches come as the UK functional shots category continues to grow, with sales reaching £105.3m over the past year [NIQ 52 w/e 8 August 2026].
